Seven District acquires Kvaser to build a global leader in machine-to-machine communication solutions

Seven District has made a significant investment in Kvaser, acquiring 80% of the company from its founders. Kvaser is an industry leading CAN expert that provides advanced solutions to engineers designing and deploying systems in vehicle and automation markets. In 2021, revenues amounted to SEK 150M with good profitability.

Seven District has acquired 80% of Kvaser, an industry leading CAN expert that provides advanced solutions to engineers designing and deploying systems in vehicle and automation markets. Kvaser has a long-standing operational track record and strong blue-chip customer relationships serving all end markets that require CAN technology. Kvaser is particularly valued amongst end users for delivering high quality, reliable components and comprehensive third-party support. With Seven District as a majority owner, Kvaser will continue to develop efficient solutions for industrial equipment and components to communicate and share information in order to enable new technological breakthroughs and continue its global growth journey. Seven District will provide significant operational support and leverage the team’s extensive expertise to create long-term value and strengthen the market position for Kvaser.
